Works great. Made a big difference around our house and pool. Very satisfying to see all those dead suckers floating in the water.

Added bonus the dead horseflies make a nice treat for your backyard chickens.

Mrs. Ann is very impressed with her Black Widow Horsefly Catcher. The first night we had it in the barn it caught almost 70 horseflies. She said that is less than 2$ a horsefly and it has only been one day! It also caught more stable flies than we could count. It’s very impressive!

Anyone else with this product get a strange sense of satisfaction when you hear the thump of another horsefly meeting the Black Widow...lol . I am loving my new black widow! I had been looking for some way to get rid of those annoying horseflies. I recently purchased one and within 45 seconds of set up it caught it’s first horsefly. When it slows down catching them I just move it to another place and catch more. I wish i would have had this thing all summer but better late than never! It also caught several other types of insects including 15 or so hornets!

Update: pulled 102 out about 5pm
Update: Counted Wednesday morning 150.

I’m currently using three! They work great! You do have to figure out the flight patterns of the flys! That’s not difficult though, they come from the nearest wooded area and fly toward the closest victim (human or beast). The one we sat coming into our gate catches the most. The record for one day is 427!!!We catch more of the big black ones. I would say 75% the other types of flys make up the other 25%. Any horse, cow or goats will thank you! Our deer have got to be thanking God!Any where flys swarm your vehicle or livestock is a good place to sit one.

10 days in ans I’ve killed close to 1000 HORSE FLIES!!!!! Update: now 492!!!! The next 24 hour period was 74 so we are up to 492!!! 418…..418 is how many HORSE FLIES I’ve killed from 9am Saturday morning to 9pm Tuesday night!!!!! Let that sink in…..I’d say that is worth the very minor maintenance and the $125 purchase cost. My numbers are down significantly! I still have some buzzing around but….I’m gonna get them. After researching quite a bit, I’ve learned that these little flying devils only have one generation per year; they only live 30-60 days. So all these that I have killed- many did not get a chance to reproduce for next year (means lower numbers next year) and while there is only a finite number of the devil spawn, there is an infinate number that I CAN KILL!! BLACK WIDOW HORSE FLY TRAP!!!! It works!!! I’m a fan! A huge fan! 219 in the first 24 hours. 67 next 24 hours. 90 next 24 hours. 42 next 12 hours. Show me a fly spray or another trap that can do that!

We have never had any trouble with horseflies until we installed our pool this year, now we’re swarmed and can’t enjoy the pool without being attacked. Heard about Black Widow Horsefly Catcher & decided to giver her a try. We purchased two yesterday afternoon and within minutes after setting up we had already killed a few. This morning (not even 12 hours later) we have already killed over 100 & still counting!! We’re so excited that we can now enjoy our pool without fighting horseflies!!

Rebecca sold us a horsefly catcher and we are amazed. It’s been up for a week and this is about a third of what was caught. This is the only place in our yard where we have noticed horseflies, so thank you!

I love it. At first we were catching a bunch... 25 to 30 a day. Now we are down to 20 or so a day. Instead of my girls being swamped with horseflies, there may be one. It is definitely worth it. This year I feel like I have finally made a difference in the fly population. I use the fly magnet for the regular flies and this horsefly catcher for the monster flies and fly predator for the ones hatching. I am very pleased with my system this year. I have only had it for a couple of weeks. Its working fine so far. We have had some bad storms last few days and I worried about it falling over but it was fine. We have the barrel and filled it up about 3/4 full. It’s easy to use and empty the basin. I tell my husband that’s 20 flies that won’t bother the girls today. In the past they would just swarm my horses. It was terrible. The girls would almost get in a panic it was so terrible. As soon as I noticed the flies were swarming the girls we bought it. Only took a few days to get the flies under control. Only regret is I wish I had bought it last year. I had a bunch the first few times...I check it twice a day. This morning I probably had 15 since I cleaned it out the night before. You can definitely use my comments as a reference or a review. I’m very pleased with how well it works. We have woods and a creek and a pond plus the horses. This trap wasn’t just something I wanted...my horses needed it. I felt so bad for them cause spray only works a little while on them. They could go in the barn to get away but they couldn’t live there. This has allowed them to get out in the pasture and grazed during the day. And 2 of mine are dark horses so they really got terrorized by the flies.
